No.5 – God
saw what He had made and it was very Good.
All things Bright and Beautiful “The purple-headed mountain Few hymns portray the joyfulness of Creation as beautifully as
the classic hymn “All thins bright and beautiful.” Its lively tune and colourful images have
made it a favourite for many generations. Cecil Frances Alexander, the wife
of an Archbishop of Armagh wrote the hymn to help children understand the
wonders of Creation, the great and
small, the seen and unseen. Based on
Genesis 1 v 31 “God saw all he had made and it was very good”, this uplifting
hymn continues to bring joy to this day. Rev Canon Neil Cutcliffe Donated by Mervyn and Cathy
