CMS Ireland is delighted to announce their new Annual Project for 2006:
The Broken Butterfly - tools of faith
The Broken Butterfly project will be based in Northern Zambia, seeking to support the church as it tries to address the major poverty issues facing its people.
80% of the Zambian population live below the poverty line, with many still lacking access to basic necessities of life – adequate food, health and education facilities, safe water, clothing and shelter.
The project hopes to focus on four key areas:
Pre-school education
Agriculture training
Youth unemployment
Evangelism
It is into this situation that the church is trying to emerge and bring change. To bring life and faith to the people of Northern Zambia, showing God’s love using tools of faith!
The project, The Broken Butterfly – tools of faith, will be launched in January 2006.
