Nepal Disaster
Following the terrible events of last weekend in Nepal, a country very close to the hearts of many in the congregation, the Friends of Tansen and the CMS Support Group have come together in an effort to raise money jointly to alleviate the suffering in this disaster-stricken country.
It was agreed that all funds raised in the month of May, on behalf of the people of Nepal, would be combined and distributed by the joint committees in a way that will best serve the needs of the people affected by this horrific disaster. To this end the two groups will be attempting to raise funds in three ways: 1. Adam Beattie will be taking part in the Belfast Marathon, and there is a sponsorship form in the porch if you would like to support his efforts. 2. There will be a Chinese Banquet night at the Bamboo Restaurant in Templepatrick at 7.30pm on Friday 22nd May at a cost of £25 per person. A sign-up sheet is available in the porch and in the Hall. 3. There will be a retiring collection after each service in May and the money collected will go to the joint fund. The committees would ask those taxpayers who contribute/sponsor to consider Gift Aiding their contributions in order that the tax can be reclaimed as well. They jointly thank you for all your continued support, especially at this difficult time for the peoples of Nepal.5 May
